anytime i land a smallie it's a treat. real land a fish or not, i am just happiest near some water. i grew up near a lake that i would regularly get skunked at, but i'd still fish it 30-40x/yr bc i knew i'd see osprey, eagles, deer, herons no matter what

never found a way to fully integrate a 20 yr employee and "friend" into tDB community, especially considering these guys regularly try to welcome new fans in with miracles. imo, just another sad example that money trumps humanity too often in our world. 4/4

plus the guitarist apparently uploaded a childish accusatory diss track to soundcloud, which further reinforces the idea that this was internal division over monetary negotiations. kinda hard to believe that a band that touts inclusivity and acceptance as core parts of their culture 3/

the official statements were extremely corporatized, written by lawyers and agents. the official statement from the band was not signed "the disco biscuits" but instead, "marc, john, and aaron." this seems to reinforce the idea that these 3 founding members view themselves as the only true tDB. 2/

according to official statements from both sides, the separation was not just about money, and was the conclusion of months of talks. however, this seems to be PR speak given that several ppl know that contract discussions between band and drummer (a contractor) devolved into infighting. 1/

Right on. I've actually never fished for trout in a river or creek. I pretty much exclusively use kastmaster spinners or live bait in shallow creeks, but I've always fished for bass and panfish in the shallower waters. I've only ever encountered trout in alpine lakes.
