Nowadays I feel like a roguelike style can get the feel of a PSO game, without needing the full time investment of grinding. I just don't have that time anymore, but love that feeling.

There will be options for physical+PDF, or just physical versions of both books. This will give people that already have the PDFs a discount on the physical version.

The books have already been available as PDFs for awhile, this is just funding for putting together a print run.

People have been asking for more copies of the core book, but they're expensive to print, so gauging interest is hard/risky. This Kickstarter will let me know exactly how much to order!

In Photon System Overdrive #PSO, you equip the titular photon systems whenever you go on a mission, which determines your starting abilities and playstyle.

The Masamune system focuses on wide, sweeping attacks with its sword, and excess in melee combat.

It's 3 ranks max in a class, but 12 levels total. Multiclassing is a key part of the game. So at max level, you could have 4 maxed out classes, or any other combination of class ranks.

Personally I'd be more interested the spark focus than faction focus. The sparks were a draw for me in NOVA, so seeing how they feel in a different format would be fun.
