Hello, bluesky! I'm Pigeon, an artist working with fiber, ink, and paint, which you can see in #pigeonsart. I'm working on a heavily prog-influenced adventure book called #Antrim, which involves an eternal night, massive bugs, and being a god's special errand boy. Thanks for checking out my page 🕷️
The scene is colored with posca paint markers. A purple, fat mushroom man wears a blue Greek inspired robe and sits on a large rock. In one hand, he holds and reads a book, and the other he offers to small leaf-headed creatures. The creatures eat the fruiting mushroom parts of his hand. Behind him, white mangrove trees with blue leaves stand against an ultramarine blue night sky. The moon frames the mushroom man's head like a corona. In the center of the piece, three characters viewed from above sit in a triangular formation. In between them are herbs and candles. At the center of the triangle lies an unconscious person. Surrounding these characters are a werewolf and hunter, circling each other. Illustration is done with inkwash A handmade shadow box. Embroidery floss is used to create a 3d spiderweb, which a paper cutout of a horned man is trapped in. The background is gray inkwash and the frame is black. A quilt top with a green watermelon-patterned border. In the middle, triangles that look like watermelon flesh are surrounded by blush pink triangles.

I feel like I could write way more about this, but this story fits the vn medium so well. There's something about the liminal ritual spaces and sense of time that just make it perfect for a visual novel

Figuring out my vamp's design. Her mother bit her in an attempt to preserve her youth and live vicariously through her. After a violent incident during one of her concerts, the young star is now "on hiatus" while the PR team takes care of the fallout.

A beautifully tragic, lusciously dark experience. I'm normally apathetic to vn music, but here it adds so much to the already harrowing story. This was a perfect read while the nights get longer and the days get colder.
