Things clear up when you realize lots of posters' predictions aren't _really_ about predicting.

They are conversation pieces or advertisements, declarations of tribal loyalty, statements about the logical structure of the world, etc.

I think one of the biggest cleavages in our society that no one talks about is the division between those that think powerful people must be held to a higher standard than non-powerful people and those who think powerful people should be flattered and sucked up to.

I've had similar happen, before... heh. I sometimes yell at the AI, even though I know its not serving much purpose but maybe puts its "must please user" foundation in overdrive.

Depends on our lens, how wide it takes in.

Sometimes, it is focused on a single detail, it can feel like chaos surrounds it.

Open too wide, and you get orderly madness.

And is it a choice how we focus this view? I err towards not really. So perhaps we can enjoy the view, spur imagination.
