The #Magic had a lot of things working... then they fell cold in the fourth quarter. A win left on the board at the Kia Center in a 111-107 loss to the #Hawks.
Really poor time awareness. Anthony Black let Trae Young take the ball and dribble along the baseline. Ate up at least two or three seconds. Trae Young ices the game at the line. #Magic fall to the #Hawks 111-107.
#Hawks disrupted the #Magic's possession and Paolo heaves a faedaway three with 10 seconds left. Don't think he realized there was time to reset and attack. #Hawks scratch out the rebound. It's a free throw contest. 109-107 ATL, 0:05.1 4th
Jalen Suggs attacked Trae Young to get to the basket and hit the layup to tie the game. But Trae Young draws the foul on Wendell Carter to get to the line to give the #Hawks the lead. #Magic have one more chance to tie this one.

109-107 ATL, 0:21.0 4th
Jalen Suggs was literally trying to hug Trae Young on that play. But Young gets the ball, gets separation and makes a floater to put the #Hawks back on top. The #Magic have been struggling to get good paint looks all quarter. Need a big one here. 107-105 ATL, 0:46.1 4th
The #Magic are just 2/14 from three in the second half. Nothing is going down. Just got an open look for Paolo that was short. Carter stole the offensive rebound and got Bane a three that he missed. But Carter draws a foul on the rebound. Another big o-board. 105-105, 0:54.2 4th
Wendell Carter got a foul on an offensive rebound. But he split the free throws. It was a joke in the first half, but 13 missed free throws and 62.9 percent shooting on 35 attempts really stings.

105-101 ATL, 2:22 4th
Onyeka Okongwu scored five straight points to give the #Hawks the lead again after the #Magic tied it at 98. Paolo Banchero is trying to get himself going. He has been settling for jumpers. Finally gets a shot by attacking the rim.

105-100 ATL, 2:56 4th
The ball is sticking for the #Magic. Big credit to Dyson Daniels for locking up both Franz Wagner and Desmond Bane this quarter. Trae Young gets a step back three to give the #Hawks the lead. Carter to the line to answer.

96-93 ATL, 5:37 4th
The #Hawks have fought all the way back now. #Magic have been stuck in the mud offensively. Very little movement and pace. A lot of struggles to get into the interior.

#Hawks have started hitting three (3 for 4 in the early fourth). They have the flow. Tie game.

93-93, 6:33 4th
Most of the #Magic's starters are back in with 7:38 to play as they try to close this out. An Asa Newell three is going to make them a big more nervous though.

93-89 ORL, 7:23 4th
I know the Hawks are down guys, but I have been very confused by any lineup without Trae, Jalen or Dyson. Has happened way too much tonight, even with NAW going.
The #Magic hit their first offensive rut of the game in that third quarter. They scored *only* 25 points. It led to their defense being put in odd spots. But they have maintained their lead. Orlando leads the #Hawks 86-78 after three.
The #Hawks have cut the deficit to four. #Magic giving up a little too much dribble penetration. Their misses are leading to running opportunities. Cold spat for Orlando right now. Tristan breaks it with a three.

85-78 ORL, 0:21.6 3rd
Jalen Johnson picked up his fifth foul and you are really seeing the #Hawks offense stretched thin with Porzingis and Risacher out. The #Magic have not been able to pull away in this one. Offense just hits these slow patches still.

80-69 ORL, 3:49 3rd
We really have not seen the #Magic's defense be this lockdown all season to this point. Been a consistently hounding and physical effort. The #Hawks do not look like they want to deal with it. Offense just needs to tighten up. Consistency is not there. 75-62 ORL, 6:38 3rd
I think the iso possessions are where he goes wrong. need to get him in motion and going downhill. Quicker decisions and less waiting.

If this shooting sticks, the defense is going to change and open up more space for him too.
The #Magic got loose to let the #Hawks climb within single digits in the last minute of the half. But Wendell Carter stole a rebound and got the ball to Franz Wagner for a layup. D has been stifling. Just need to clean up the free throw shooting. Magic lead 61-51 at the half.
I think the emphasis on pace has been the biggest adjustment for him. He likes to play slow. Has a lot of bad habits to break. He can be really good when he just goes.
After 4 years of the #Magic using FT shooting to cover for their bad 3PT shooting, tonight the Magic are using 3-point shooting (7/13) to cover for bad free throw shooting (10/20).

Lots of points left on the board. And the #magic are still doing their thing.

57-44 ORL, 2:05 2d
There are still a lot of sloppy moments on offense. So much of it though is still guys not quite sure what to do. The pace isn't instinct yet.

But, man, do you see the potential in this offense. The thought process is all right.

53-42 ORL, 2:59 2nd
At the risk of jinxing things, the #Magic have just been throwing size at Trae Young. He is being guarded by Suggs, Black and now Franz primarily. They are switching perimeter screens a lot and Young has had no where to go. Just 8 points, 1/6 FGs so far.

53-39 ORL, 3:56 2d
