Grinding will be during daytime hours, limiting noise impacts to nearby hotels. Paving will begin Thursday at 7 a.m. & will also run during daytime hours, north to south. SW Fourth Avenue will be fully reopened by 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct 17.

SW Fourth Avenue will remain open during this work, but will be restricted to one lane northbound starting at 7 a.m. tomorrow, Oct. 15 through 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17. Work will run north to south, with crews beginning grinding operations just south of West Burnside Street.

The next phase of paving on SW Fourth Avenue begins tomorrow, Oct. 15 at 7 a.m., taking advantage of the dry midweek weather. This phase of paving covers the west side of SW Fourth Avenue between SW Harvey Milk Street and West Burnside Street.

From Wednesday, Oct. 15, through the end of the week, West Burnside Street will be reduced to one eastbound lane at SW Fourth Avenue while crews work along the south side of the intersection with delays expected near the work zone. Sidewalks will remain open for pedestrians.

Tomorrow morning (Tuesday, Oct. 14) the intersection of W Burnside St. & SW Fourth Ave. will be controlled by flaggers as crews perform preparatory work for new traffic signals. People driving should expect delays on West Burnside Street in both directions with intermittent holds at SW Fourth Ave.

This Friday, join us for our October cleanup at Peace Memorial Park in Lloyd. We'll be picking up trash in the area and removing graffiti. A big focus of this cleanup will be site maintenance at the park, in particular raking up leaves along the bike and sidewalks in the park.

Advisory: Annual Portland Aerial Tram evacuation exercise set for Sunday, Oct. 12, from 9 a.m. to noon

Members of the Portland Fire & Rescue Technical Rescue Team will lead the exercise in partnership with PBOT and OHSU.

During construction, the two westernmost lanes from NE Lloyd Boulevard to NE Everett Street will be closed to all motor vehicles. Steel plates will be installed at the end of each workday. Sidewalks will remain open for pedestrians and bicyclists during repairs.

It has been an absolute joy to ride with community every month for the 2025 season. Starting in April on Earth Day, the City Bike Bus rolled downtown seven different times since. Every ride was open to the greater Portland community so that anyone commuting downtown could bike with a group.
