Y’all, we are now in the longest government shutdown in U.S history. That’s unacceptable. Our representatives on both sides of the aisle need to sit down and solve this and get back to doing the country’s business, without making health insurance unaffordable.

Despite the successful lawsuit from multiple Attorneys General, SNAP benefits are still being disrupted and not fully funded. That’s unacceptable. We need to fully fund SNAP and end this shutdown while also ensuring that health insurance premiums won’t skyrocket.

“Farmers want a market not a bailout” I grew up on a farm, I live on a farm. And I’ve seen that the trade war with China is hurting farmers all over the district. Meanwhile we’re bailing out farmers in Argentina while ignoring our farmers at home.

The people of North Carolina deserve fair maps. Democracy deserves fair maps. The gerrymandering and redistricting of NC-1 disenfranchises voters, plain and simple. That ain’t right. The voters should choose their politicians, not the other way around.

As many as 32,000 residents of #NC13 could lose Medicaid coverage because of the GOP’s massive spending bill—all while increasing the national debt by trillions. We should be expanding healthcare and shrinking our debt, not the other way around.
