Women vets are the fastest growing group using VA health care. Obstetricians are notably missing from this list because virtually all obstetric care is already referred to community doctors. Unfortunately, there is a noticeable lack of obstetricians in many communities these days.

We are not cutting essential services but we really don't know because we've never led a workforce reduction this big despite decades of demand for a functioning VA tied to personnel growth needed for that that purpose.
