Because the way things are, whites will vote for a pile of offal in an ill-fitting suit if it promises to keep the systemic racialized hierarchy intact.

What you suggest is in fact the original sin of America. The Continental Congress intentionally removed a condemnation of the slave trade from the Declaration of Independence in order to secure the votes of southern delegates. And look how well that fucking turned out.

We know that 74% of whites either voted for the white supremacist regime (55%) or enabled it via inaction (19%).

Their allegiance to white supremacy remains the issue. Deprogram it, and you'll see the turnout stats you want.

"They are all intractable, it's a turnout game" is the losing strategy that has gotten us to our current predicament. Either whites can be convinced to stop upholding whiteness or we'll perish. There is no pathway forward that avoids all of us actively and intentionally confronting white supremacy.

If whites faced consistent, affirmative social consequences in the moment for their white supremacy (not just folks going no-contact, but actually confronting them about it, you'd be shocked how quickly the needle would move.
