the cracked pepper right into the sandwich is a nice touch that I usually forget
papaalphakilo.bsky.social
gotta admit, the condiments were a bit of a curveball for me - ham, salami, pepperoni screams vinagrette for an italian sub - but that looks like a damn fine sandwich.

Working for a company that makes parts for high price purchases that is also very frank about financial outlook is bracing.

The *stock market* is pretending everything is okay. The actual economy is not okay.

It is insane to me that his approval is in the toilet, especially in the economy and the chattering classes just pretend it is not happening.

alternatively, trump's at 41% approval — that's pretty "sour" right?

RIP

The Tivo Edge, released in 2019, is still better than any current cable box. Usability and responsiveness from cable company cable boxes is so bad. Once mine stops working I suspect it will be full time streaming for me.
TiVo has sold its last DVR
The company is killing its hardware business, 26 years after becoming synonymous with TV recording.

His work compares favorably with Umberto Eco.

Inherent bias against genre fiction is the only reason Gene Wolfe isn't regarded as one of the best 20th century American novelists.

Tell me your most unhinged literary opinion, as a little treat

We’ve had a lingering customer issue which may be related to an issue on another product m, but the failure modes were different and I couldn’t remember how. A coworker jogged my memory about the differences - my eyes went black and I info-dumped for like 5 minutes. He just said “Jesus” and laughed.

I have that brain too. It’s great when it’s firing on all cylinders but mannnnnn it’s a hassle when it’s not.

It’s also why I’m so averse to changing my work situation.
papaalphakilo.bsky.social
Let’s see that finished product!

You just can't have your best players make huge mistakes in high leverage situations and expect to win football games against good teams.

ARSB's 4th down drop in the 2nd quarter was probably a 10 point swing. Hutchenson just cost the Lions a touchdown.
papaalphakilo.bsky.social
I guess if you're going to do it, get your money's worth? IDK what Hutch is thinking there.

Jamo, St. Brown, Teslaa 3 WR set there, interesting

I try to do once a week but the reality is it's every couple of weeks.

If a lion landed on Mahomes like a chief landed in Goff just now, a sniper paid by the NFL would have killed him from the rafters.
papaalphakilo.bsky.social
Lmao hutch dog walked that dude, why in the world are you blocking him with a TE??
papaalphakilo.bsky.social
he could also go back to his roots with a vandy-adjacent job

5. This means that given two 2 point attempts you have a >75% chance of hitting one of them. And if you hit the first one you have a free look at winning in regulation rather than going to the coin flip of OT.

It's definitely a more advanced topic in 2pt/4th down analytics but it's solid theory.
papaalphakilo.bsky.social
1. if you're down 14 you need to score two touchdowns and hold your opponent to zero scores to win no matter what
2. If you make the first, you're kicking to win the game on the second
3. If you miss the first you still have the 2nd try to tie for OT
4. Most teams put their 2pt chances at 50-55%

can't imagine how hellish the visiting fans are in New Orleans
papaalphakilo.bsky.social
If the Lions get a turnover they should absolutely do some kind of tree-chopping celebration

we deserve video of this disastrous warm-up session

they could have a figurehead sure, but is Dolan giving up his retirement from the Catholic church for a bunch of online dweebs who wouldn't be able to pay for his lifestyle?
