It took all of one day for “the peace in the Middle East” project to hit predictable, and probably planned, issues to arise. Shocking.

"a test"? you mean...a violation?
AP: Israel plans to halve aid into Gaza over slow return of dead hostages, a test for the Gaza ceasefire

That won’t be peace. It will be colonization.

I am happy hostages on both sides are going home, but I have zero faith that war criminals whose whole identity is rooted in cruelty and destruction are going to be the brokers of peace all of a sudden.

The edges aren’t the problem.

They don’t ever meet the moment.

They don’t have urgency in the regular season and they don’t have it in the postseason. We can talk about analytics, matchups, etc. You still have to compete to maximize that. The Yankees just don’t do that in the playoffs. It’s a reflection of the manager and organization.

I’m at the point now where the Aaron Boone era Yankees repeatedly fail in the playoffs because of a distinct inability to consistently rise to the level of the stakes in the playoffs. They simply do not elevate their games in the postseason. They have zero killer instinct. Toronto did and they won.

Gotta come through when needed the most. It’s not the regular season. That was an awful at bat in the 6th.

At least take the walk.

I’m not a big sports narrative guy but this Judge postseason thing looks real. I know he’s had hits but the playoffs are also about moments in a game. He isn’t creating nearly enough of them in the playoffs as he does in the regular season.

The issue is the offense.

Insane to me that people defended those decisions.

Me in Year 8 of trying to understand Aaron Boone’s thought process.

Zero sense. I hated the lineup decisions. They overthought the whole thing.

It’s noon on Wednesday in NYC and I’m still trying to figure out why Jazz was brought into the game in the 8th inning instead of starting him or keeping Rosario in to face Chapman. I am still lost on that one.

You can't joke about anything anymore. Because you signed a multi figure contract with the Saudi government that said they wouldn't pay you if you did.

Never should’ve had the team.

The Tampa Bay Rays are useless. What a terrible team.

Paul Goldschmidt should see limited at bats in the playoffs unless you really believe in his glove. His bat has fallen off a cliff for a while now and he hasn’t been amazing against lefties lately either. Plus, he has NO slug at this point.

reminder that you cannot spell aaron judge without “cal raleigh had a nice season but still isn’t the AL MVP”
