Hey, I’ll add here that performance reviews for neurodivergent people can be outright traumatic. They need to stop.
Feng’s poem (May/June American Poetry Review) speaks to working poets out there, and to everyone who is subject to these stupid evaluations. And now with AI aiding in the construction and writing the reviews of our effectiveness, our “success”, now can we finally call B.S. on performance reviews?

Do you love where you live? #NEPDX
"Moving toward liberation requires all of us to care — about where we are going, but also about each other. This means, revolutionize your friendships, have friends that are aligned with your vision of the world you want to live in.

This is spiritual work."
Hear the words of Stephanie Andrea Allen (NIP). Start (again) where we are. Literary movements. In person. Ground ourselves in the people we live with and around. & at 35:57 Eesha Pandit speaks to telling a story as a feminist practice. The whole session is great! #communityofwriters #feministpress

Stories shape culture. In a time when book bans, censorship, & attacks on women's voices are ramping up, one of the most powerful things we can do is amplify stories that matter. Let’s make sure stories by Women+ and BIPOC authors are not erased! Book list & sign-up link in bio. #communityofwriters

Yes. Plus, there's something about the suggestion that we stop using the bad channels that feels like someone telling me to shut up. And it's not the Bad Tech Bros. It all feels unsettling and sad.

I see people deactivating various social media accounts, which I understand & respect, but I’m done letting Bad Tech Bros™️ chase me out of my community spaces.

Maybe there are no more “good places.” Maybe there are only good people doing their best to navigate—& use for good—problematic spaces.

If you need some optimism in your reading world, I highly recommend giving this collection of essays/interviews a read. We’ve heard all the doom about our climate emergency. “What If We Get It Right” takes a moment to share a vision of the future if we do make changes. It’s hope, for a change.
My 8 y/o niece and I made this comic. Seems like a good one to keep handy. She’s so f’ing rad. #donthate #dohats AND I just heard @alisonbechdel.bsky.social has a new book coming out! #reasonstolive

this genuinely, without exaggeration, healed a little fracture inside of me that has been broken my whole adult life
DID YOU KNOW for 25 years Matthew Shepard had no permanent resting place due to concerns his grave would be vandalized

Reverend Budde learned of this, she invited the Shepards to inter him inside the Washington National Cathedral.

She was and is a real hero.
And when you try to leave the stores by passing through closed-off security gates! Once I tried to leave (I couldn't find my favorite trail mix :) & I still had to go through the security gates--there was NO OTHER WAY out. Big panic. I always fear I will be wrongly accused.
