By train, yes, leaving the Amex can be annoying (but the upside is travel is free as part of the ticket)

While facilities, accessibility and safety are naturally important, few modern grounds do it for me

Brighton’s Amex is nice - at least its design fits in nicely to the surroundings and isn’t identikit

Larne FC was founded by three men, including a Reverend, after watching the Black Watch v Distillery

The club was mostly lower league until recent financial investment from a local businessman

Now, they've won the Irish League twice

He founded Red Star FC in Paris before becoming FIFA's
longest-serving president

He led the foundation of the World Cup. The first trophy bore his name, before being gifted to Brazil for its third win (1970)

Labour are way behind the public mood on this (and many things), hence they’re haemorrhaging support to LDs and Greens (more so than to rEfOrM)

Derry City resigned from the Irish League at the height of the Troubles, as other sides didn't want to travel to the Bogside

The club was stuck in junior (amateur) football until 1984, when a new plan was launched to get the Candystripes playing south of the border

My first academic publication on soccer and politics is out! It lays out the basics of my theoretical framework of “soccer as civil society” and argues that this is threatened by “modern football” through the tandem of “illiberalism” and “neoliberalism”.

In the Buenos Aires barrio of Parque Patricios is an absolute gem of an Art Deco stadium and a must for groundhoppers. It’s my favourite stadium on earth and the home of Club Atlético Huracán.
