conceptually and aesthetically it was fine, but the characters and plotting didn't work for me. same with the first one. pretty and interesting but - for me - flat and uninvolving as a human or narrative experience.

oh, well, you will probably disagree, legacy was not for me in the least. this is like a sort of sequel - but of you are looking for lore and expansion this is not going to scratch that itch. it’s more like a free-standing chase movie that takes place in the tron-verse.

saw tron: ares. big improvement over legacy. convinced that gen-x and y executives having lingering crushes on jordan catalano explains how jared leto keeps being cast in spite of his many problematics. also, the wreck it ralph movies continue to be more apposite sequels to tron than the officials.
