We're celebrating 5 years as an independent, frontline-led organization fighting for #ClimateJustice in Oregon. Five years ago, frontline leaders turned crisis into a statewide movement. Read our new blog & impact report to see how far we’ve come and where we’re headed next: tinyurl.com/v7kcv9cn
Celebrating five years of Oregon Just Transition Alliance with our first impact report — OJTA
From crisis to collective power In 2020, when the sky turned orange, wildfires rained ash, and families scrambled to find clean air and safe shelter, Oregon’s frontline leaders came together and ask...

Climate change hits low-income Oregonians first and worst. Weatherizing homes saves energy, lowers bills, and saves lives. Federal & state funds make it possible, and Oregon lawmakers must keep investing in resilient, affordable housing for all. Read more: buff.ly/f53fPXF #Weatherization
Catch us at PCUN's gala to honor #Farmworkers who head to work each day unsure if there will be a raid and they’ll unjustly taken from their homes. They show up for us every day and it's our turn to show up for them. Join us at PCUN’s Harvesting Justice Gala in PDX on Nov. 21: buff.ly/YHfnYzm
It’s a BIG DEAL to celebrate 10 years of frontline organizing, especially when those in power are trying to stop us. Last week, @frontandcentered.org turned TEN(!) and our teammates traveled up to WA to celebrate and be in community with them. We’re forever grateful for you and inspired by you, F&C!
What does community-led #CleanEnergy look like in practice? Community leaders visited Hood River to learn more about efficient, community-owned hydro energy projects, seeing firsthand both the promise and challenges of #CleanEnergy alternatives. Read reflections on our blog: buff.ly/FeS8nCW

A Just Transition is how we get there, and the shift is already happening in Oregon. Your support makes it possible. Donations help us train community leaders, organize for community-led policy, and move public dollars toward real climate solutions: buff.ly/b2ZygU7

A regenerative economy does the opposite. It restores what’s been taken, invests in people, local jobs, clean energy, and community care. It circulates wealth, builds resilience, and protects what we love.
Extraction is a mindset that treats people and the planet as resources for someone else’s gain. Extractive economies rely on fossil fuels, cheap labor, and stolen land. They concentrate wealth and power while leaving pollution, debt, and harm behind.
A #JustTransition is how we move from an extractive to a regenerative economy that gives more than it takes, heals more than it harms, and creates conditions for our communities and the land to thrive.
When you're checking your email and you see your #EnergyJustice allies in Governor Tina Kotek's newsletter... 🎊🥂🪅

OJTA, members, and allies all worked very hard to get FAIR Energy Act and other important bills passed and we're excited our work is getting recognized.

Thanks for having us! We learned a lot.
Thank you @oregoncub.bsky.social for inviting us to your Annual Energy Conference. It was a great opportunity to hang out with our energy allies in person, and talk in depth about what we can about utility affordability and growing energy demands. #EnergyAffordability
Oregon is home, not a military target. We reject Trump’s attempts to militarize our state. AG Dan Rayfield and the City of Portland won in court twice to stop them, but the fight isn't over. Thank our leaders for standing strong and urge them to keep at it: action.aclu.org/send-message...
Thank our elected leaders for protecting Oregonians from federal abuse of power
Please take action!

Each dollar we invest in #ClimateAction pays us exponentially by lowering energy bills and reducing pollution that causes asthma & heart disease. Gutting these funds will make energy expensive and Oregonians less healthy. State leaders must stand up and defend our climate values.

Oregon to lose an additional $400 million in federal climate grants
Oregon and 15 other Democratic states are losing nearly $8 billion toward climate projects, after the Trump administration terminated multiple federal grants.

We're rising up to say saying #NoTroopsInOregon because it's a dangerous abuse of power that puts frontline communities in even greater danger. We won't be divided or silenced by the actions of the federal government. We'll keep protecting our families, our futures, and our collective power.

It was so fun to support Verde and hang out with Building Resilience #CullyFest this year! We loved meeting new people, sharing food, and helping create a space where everyone felt welcome. Pictured: our advocacy director with @brad-reed.bsky.social and Annabelle of Verde. #PDX
Yesterday was #ZeroEmissionsDay. Fossil fuels drive extreme heat, drought, & wildfires that hit frontline communities first and worst. Reducing our dependence on gas and oil means fewer heat waves, wildfires, and droughts. That's why we ask you to stand with communities fighting for #ClimateJustice.
Our Energy Justice Community Leaders Program empowers frontline leaders to learn, lead, and take action for clean, affordable energy. Read our new blog to see how we’re building leadership to create a #JustTransition to a clean energy future: buff.ly/WlsDLPh #CleanEnergy #FrontlineLeadership

We advocated for the Healthy Homes Grant Program so low-income families can live safely in the housing they already have. Now it's having real impact in Eugene’s Whiteaker neighborhood. Climate justice is also housing justice. www.yahoo.com/news/article... #Oregon #HousingJustice

We’ve won real change, and it’s worth celebrating (again). Last week, @tinakotek.bsky.social signed the FAIR Energy Act into law, which will keep energy bills from skyrocketing. This win proves our work matters. That our communities are powerful. That we're building the energy future we deserve.
