feels like this whenever i do an infodump post

that someone actually worked on and made my violin with their own hands! machines don’t work too well for them bc they simple can’t account for the level of individualized personalization required for each build

and this is why violins from the great masters can be so incredibly expensive

the design itself is quite simple, but bc of that even the tiniest little <1 mm difference in how its done affects the sound

which is also why anything beyond absolute bottom tier is handmade! its so cool knowing

I’ve found this super fascinating ever since starting like how the hell did we even discover that

the inside of them is literally just hollow except for a little wooden post (soundpost) and a middle support & sound distributor called the bass bar

its really surprising how simple violins actually are when you see someone open one up and work on it (but said simplicity also means each part needs to be very precise!!)

someone just figured out some god tier physics that forces sound vibrations through weird patterns to make beautiful sounds

how i learned about it was after learning i had npd, talking with other cluster bs and noticing “wait why do i relate to everything the aspd ppl are saying”😭 then realized i met criteria even with differential diagnosis, and it came up during DID eval when she decided to add in a personality test

honestly better, you usually dont want something like that on your record

or some psychs have common sense and will diagnose you verbally without putting it on your formal medical records

I didnt really like Evangelion. The anime is 6/10 at best, It’s incredibly formulaic and just generally uninteresting. End of eva was worse, actually just an atrocious mess of “we have no coherent storyline, look how deep this is”
