I am not counting them as average right now. I think they’re well below. Sixth in division, weak advanced metrics. I’m saying they’re probably average when everyone comes back

Through 14 games, what have we learned about this year's #Canucks?

They're an average team with flaws that can sometimes be covered up by exceptional individual talents.

They are who we thought they were. And that's a problem...

The read on the #Canucks coming into the season was that if everything went right, they’d make the playoffs.

They’ve done nothing to prove that idea wrong.

And that’s a problem.

It's early but we're rapidly approaching the 1/4 season mark.

#Canucks are the only NHL team with a top 10 PDO that's not above .500 points percentage.

They're one of just two teams (Blackhawks the other) below .600 points percentage.

Not a great sign of the team's early form despite the SH% and SV%.

#Canucks get a huge two points considering their depleted roster.

Kevin Lankinen made 36 saves in regulation + OT and then stopped all three shootout attempts. Big game for him.

Preface: I'm not trying to blame this all on Reichel. He's in a difficult spot and is rocking the lowest PDO on the team, including a 79.17% on-ice SV%

The #Canucks are bleeding goals against during his minutes. It could flip soon for reasons above but it's something to follow.

Filip Chytil has played just six games this season yet his 14 five-on-five shots still rank third on the #Canucks.

He's got more five-on-five shots than Kiefer Sherwood, Conor Garland, Elias Pettersson, Brock Boeser, and Quinn Hughes.
