Nobody tells you about this, but PFAS levels are already on the decline (in some places and some groups)

There is a banger essay to be written between the use of One Piece imagery in Asian popular protest movements and Peter Thiel's take that Luffy is a Jesus-like figure

This is one of the dumbest bothsideism argumentations I've ever read.

As is if trying to set rules to fight climate change was as stupid as banning veggie burgers. Come on @szde.bsky.social. you can do better.

Saying the right does stupid things is getting difficult these days.

Even this study: www.frontiersin.org/journals/env... just cites a European Parliament infographic.

This infographic as I see it however estimates 270kg CO2 per person, with no sourcing, (alaturidevoi.ro/wp-content/u...) which would be below 5% for EU consumers (which are the world's most prolific

Nice, the European Parliament is about to adopt this COP30 resolution and one thing cannot be missing: the made up stats on the climate impact of the textile industry, which is somehow worse than cement (which no credible source has ever backed up)

"Energy efficiency is not a virtue in and of itself," Jan writes.

"It is valuable only when it delivers tangible social benefits, ..."

Does this already allow for a political economy of energy efficiency, can energy efficiency shed its bad image?

And fundamentally: does this mean ecodesign is bad

This is sufficiently radical in the sense that it questions a holy tenet of the energy efficiency ecosystem -- energy efficiency first

"As electrification progresses, energy efficiency policies must adapt to prioritize when energy savings occur, not just how much is saved."

Interesting post from energy-efficiency-czar Jan.

Everybody watching long saw the movement/idea stuck in a rut.

His way out: the "focus on user cost reductions is inadequate" --> "carbon reduction ... is the primary benefit" & "the emphasis will shift to reducing system costs."

Energy efficiency needs a radical rethink.

Making fossil fuel technologies & processes incrementally more efficient is no longer enough.

It might even perpetuate their use. In my new article I explore how energy efficiency needs to evolve to remain relevant.

Why energy efficiency needs a radical rethink
Energy efficiency has historically been the most significant contributor to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Over the past few decades…

Ich wünschte Sie hätten zumindest in der Sache etwas kritisiert, Leute dumm zu nennen bedarf auch auf bsky einer Begründung....

That being said, Nuss agiert very Weber-like

Fair, but is this a fault of the tax system or what? In Lux, municipal taxes are missing in neighbouring towns
