Metal Gear Solid 2, if anything, literally proves one of the characters’ points in that game regarding the social media age and humanity.

The author not formulating a solid opinion was a literal theme of the game that he claimed to have played. One of Metal Gear Solid 2’s themes is people lacking free will due to the social media age.

This is the saddest thing that I've ever read in my life.

A facebook post which says:

"Growing up, again, I was Democrat. Mostly because of the influences around me. I didn’t know any better and felt like I should align with the views of my “people”. The problem was that from as early as I can remember, I’ve always called myself American, even when I didn’t speak English. Imagine that. I didn’t speak English until 5.
I grew up reading a lot of books, until eventually I just played a bunch of RPGs. These games taught me more than any teacher ever could. These games carried a lot of weight, the stories were intense. They touched on everything, especially politics.
It wasn’t until MGS2. Man after Metal Gear Solid 2, I questioned EVERYTHING. See the problem already? My opinion on immigration had changed, however at the time I still believed anchor babies should have a path to citizenship considering they didn’t choose to be in this situation. That’s what Obama promised on the campaign trail. So I voted for him.
Worst vote of my life. But I was young and dumb. This is when the divide was taken to the next level. I slowly started losing family. Even though I still supported dreamers. One by one. Blocked. Deleted. Friends that I was friends with. Gone.
The left cares so much about everyone, supposedly. Do you know what this did to me? Do they know how alone I was when I needed people? Homeless, broke. Brother would only give me money if I paid him back double by next week. So I was stuck.
Eventually I hated speaking Spanish, and tbh I don’t like Hispanic people. This hate is earned, and deserved. I know how great DR is, go there.
If being a patriot costs me my family, you’re absolutely insane if you think you can question whether or not I’m American based solely on my skin color. I have zero tolerance for these people. Cheap labor built America. You brought my people here. They came here. Legally.
