The rock structure in the grotto is also constructed, made to resemble basaltic formation found across this region of Germany.

Every single one of these clips was taken today in downtown Portland. Portland doesn’t want or need a federal takeover. If Trump insists on sending federal “resources” he can start with funding health care, bridges, affordable housing, and wildfire protection to name a few.

The Spooky Season is upon us.

I, for one, welcome our macabre overlords.

A tiny carved statue of a bone-white skeleton rising from a jack o' lantern made of an orange pumpking, with black crescent-moon-shaped eyes, and a round black mouth. There's bric a brac behind it.

Photo taken by me at one of those curio shops in Galveston, TX today.

Cat and dog statues in black with white bones to represent skeletons, and white sugar skulls a la Mexico's Dia de los Muertos celebrations.

It's a shop display in Galveston. I don't know if it was an artistic creation or mass produced figure because I was too afraid to touch it. It looked expensive to me.
