I've talked in the past about how the one erasure I've ever done took on a life of its own. Another example -- composer Melissa Dunphy turned it into a choral composition which the men's choir Cantus performed & recorded. Have a listen, it's eerie and beautiful.

I served my children some fake chicken nuggets in the shape of Lion King characters and they were very weirded out. I guess it is odd to eat a non-meat-based depictiction of an apex predator? A simbalacrum if you will

I have a huge blind spot which is hip hop lyricists so that's the caveat but for me probably Joni, Fiona, John Darnielle. Wanna throw in Dolly Parton and Aimee Mann for lyrical genius though I've never been a superfan. Mitski and Jeff Mangum up there for me. Also really admire Phoebe Bridgers

I second Father John Misty and Neko Case as greatest living lyricists as well as @themountaingoats.bsky.social. Those would be my top 3. Also Bob Dylan, EMA, Nick Cave, Joanna Newsom and Florence Welsh is nothing to sneeze at either
