I can imagine the drawing now causing negative feelings, but I guess the fact it was so open-ended can maybe help just disassociate from what it was meant as originally and see it more as just a beautiful pokemon piece as the artwork is absolutely gorgeous!!!

I feel like who I am, especially as a creative is buried, maybe even lost. I can fulfill commission work and obligations fine, but trying to hold a personal idea is like cupping water. My mind is a sea of uniform noise where nothing jumps out, but so much is there. It makes me sad.

I'm curious, how do other people handle having made a gift to someone that was a drawing that you're really proud of, but later on turns out the person was not a good person. Do you still share the art and detach it from the person it was made for, or just let it sink away somewhere in a corner?
