Spider-Man had some excellent designs and cool cards.

Spider-Man also had a very rough roll out (timing and Standard push) and a lot of "filler".

Both can be true but it feels like the latter drowns out the former.

Finally, this is my personal gripe.

Stop with odd point scales. They don't tell you anything since people can select a neutral option.

From there you could conceivably ask if anything influenced opinion.

For example, I was neither excited or not excited for Spider-Man. My overall impressions of the set went down because:
1) Split Digital/Tabletop
2) Lots of filler feeling cards
3) Lack of salience with IP

In such a world you could gauge interest in a Final Fantasy or Edge of Eternities survey - Have you heard about Magic X Spider-Man? How excited are you? Etc

Then you'd want to measure a similar cohort after the fact and measure those same metrics.

A big problem with the survey question is that it's trying to measure a difference in opinion from only one point in time. We are only in the "post" phase of a pre/post dichotomy. In order to fully understand how one can be influenced you need a baseline - ask them how the felt before previews.

my main concern about spider-man is simply this- Corey Bowen is one of the best designers they have and is responsible for some of my all time favorites, as well as one of the top 5 sets all time in Baldur's Gate, and i don't want him to eat shit over corpo decisions with the spidy product
