Paul Sussman — English author & archaeologist.
Passed away in 2012.

Wrote thrillers blending history & fantasy, mostly set in Ancient Egypt.

His novels feel like cinematic adventures, like Dan Brown’s.

Yet few talk about him, despite how good they are.

تحكي عن قرية لا تزورها إلا أثناء النوم، وفيها متجر يبيع مختلف أنواع الأحلام، يقصده الزبائن النائمون من أنحاء العالم.

من أكثر ما يُميز روايات #نجيب_محفوظ أنها تترك مساحة واسعة لتأويل القارئ، فكل قارئ يرى الرواية من منظوره ويفهمها بطريقته ويختار أبطالها.
ولا تقتصر الروايات على بطل واحد أو شخصية رئيسية، لكن القصة والأحداث والحبكة هم أبطال الرواية.
والثلاثية خيرُ مثال على ذلك.
