A 200-person homeless encampment in Gainesville, GA, is being cleared this week. Many of those living in tents have jobs but can't afford rent.

One woman estimated she's been forced to move 20 times. "There's a lot of people who get checks that don't have enough money to get places," she said.

I'm fighting fascism tomorrow by attending the Downtown Church Collective meeting in Nashville, so I feel you. I think, honestly, maintaining these organizational structures and relationships does play in to fighting fascism.

I use AI to an extent in my work, but I would not say I am in either camp. My opinion is that it is a useful tool for some things, but I refuse to have a parasocial relationship with a machine.

I let it write copy for boring stuff that I then humanize and edit, for example.
