Cool! Cooper’s Hawks and Brown Creepers are amazing
In addition, we have this juvenile Red-Headed Woodpecker as well as this Red Squirrel and Southern Leopard Frog.
Here is a short post with more photos from the backlog. This post contains pictures from my local bog during the month of September. First up, we have some pictures of a Merlin.
Backyard Birdwatching Post 10:
During the month of September, I was able to get a picture of this American Goldfinch preening itself.

A thread: More photos from the backlog. Here are some photos from the last week of August. These were taken at my nearest NWR. First up are some of the herons I saw on the trip. Here we have a juvenile Black-Crowned Night Heron, a Great Blue Heron, and a juvenile Yellow-Crowned Night Heron.
Note: I just got my first camera in May/early June. I am not the best with it.
Cool! I like nature photography and I like taking some nature photographs myself.
Finally, here are some of the remaining photos. Here we have a Greater Yellowlegs, an Osprey eating breakfast, a couple of American Avocets, and a Box Turtle.
Another lifer from that day was the nearby Marbled Godwit.
Another highlight was a lifer for me. They were some Hudsonian Godwits.
Next, we have one of the highlights of the trip. A Roseate Spoonbill. It is my fourth Spoonbill of the year. I also got a picture of the spoonbill with some White Ibises.
Here are some pictures of a bunch of terns and skimmers. Specifically, we have some Caspian Terns, Black Skimmers, Forster’s Terns, and a Common Tern.
Here we have some pictures of Western Sandpipers and Semipalmated Sandpipers. Specifically, the first three are Western and the last one was Semipalmated.
