Back on the Hook Norton: This Was A Daft Idea™️ linoprint.
A lino tile, part cut, of the stupidly complicated Hook Norton tower brewery that it will be far beyond my ability to execute well. The initial drawing is OK though. But backwards, of course.

It's unnecessary, frankly. We're supposed to be facilitating a calm bedtime, not crying with laughter.

"I want you to take me up the North Mountain" said Anna.

is frankly the most unnecessary line for Disney to have replicated in the book version of Frozen, and makes the bedtime story very difficult for Papa and I.

And that, I'm afraid, is why you're not a journalist for the BB of C.

Absolutely and incontrovertibly true.

Was handed a medicinal Talisker by one of my quiz teams, so not all bad tonight.
A dram of Talisker with a single ice cube is held up in front of the busy lounge of quiz teams.

Urgh, sorry you've been poorly too! It's not nice.

And by celebration, I mean a full fat Lemsip, because I've not even touched my paracetomol quota for the day yet.

Good news everyone! After pretty much a week of the most horrible cold, I feel like I may have turned a corner this afternoon.

As such, I'm going to be (reasonably) OK for calling my quiz tonight and maybe, just maybe, I might get some reasonable sleep tonight!

This calls for celebration.

Well that's all jolly helpful Andreas, not least because I am writing about the unions as we speak and going to Wheatlow on Friday!! I will shameless steal some of this info and credit you.

Perfect parent's evening report for Bammers tonight, no notes.

Laurieston, Pot Still and a stop at the Wee Beer Shop before heading over the road to Koelschip Yard.

What do we want? Brewery clobber. When do we want it? Now. 💁‍♀️

It's the bump caps that really set the outfit off.

The second person to ask me this. People don't read anymore 😂

Repeating myself for the morning crowd, because I'm pleased.

Very chuffed to have picked up a second place in the @nagbw.bsky.social awards tonight for my piece on cider apple DNA profiling for @ciderreview.bsky.social.

Pull quote: "It's exactly the same as the forensic services use [...] We used it to identify one individual versus another. We generate a barcode for the individual and we match it up to the barcode of other individuals. If they match, they're the same and if they're different, then they're different varieties.""

Thanks for giving me an undeserved air of mystique, Dave!
morrighani.bsky.social
Right, I've drained my celebratory hot blackcurrant (maxed out my Lemsip quota already), off to bed I go.
morrighani.bsky.social
And congratulations to you for your well deserved award too.
