Mamorukun ReCurse! is yet another revived G.Rev shoot 'em up, one with an excellent central mechanic, the mastery of which allows you to flit between scoring- and survival-focused play at will. It's also far more widely available than its previous iterations, and is the definitive edition, to boot.

in every single Tactical Nexus tower there is a point where the stat values of enemies jump wildly out of reach and this is the part of the level where you either do the "goku taking off his weighted clothes" thing or the "sysiphus rolling the boulder up the hill" thing, it's always one or the other

It's #portfolioday! I'm presently a senior narrative designer at Blizzard, but before that I was at Bungie and Arkane. I wrote for the Writer's Guild award-nominated Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, and a bunch of critically acclaimed seasons and expansions in Destiny 2.
