Honestly during Archers dream sequence I thought we were going to get some of that with the giant floating gun. But I think it’s still points at the same message you’ve summarized it to here.

I did find the ending to be just to my taste specifically because of that. No sudden shift to a fully perfect ending. A terrible thing happened and those repercussions persist, which is a very real take on trauma.

Also delighted that they didn’t do a takeout ending as well.
