Thinking about this as a non-artist but a consumer, I like that you point out the social/communal aspect of it. There's some of the genAI people who are all like "It takes skill and cleverness to get the prompts out in a way that gives me what I want", but what is that, really, than just

art is always like a communal/social thing imo.
it celebrates both your uniqueness/quirkiness and shared understandings/feelings etc..
its always envisioning+realizing both are legit skills.
if its against community, if its homogenizing and anti-queer, if it disrespect others its not art to me sorry

i personally refuse to call them "AI artists" not even ironically or for convenience cuz thats a lie theyre not 😭😂
i do know ppl do ai "artists*" kinda thing too 😭🤝 for me its either "art thieves" or "genAI users"
i do respect the ability of envisioning smth tho. but yk artists respect each other.

if you hate other ppl getting hurt. like as in the other living breathing irl ppl (as in not fictional characters.) if you REALLY hate unnecessary unwanted harm to anyone. i think the fundamental rule would look rather simple like that. just respect. i might be wrong but for now i think like that.

i think the ongoing theme is to just respect other ppl. living breathing others. care about their safety. ask them first. active consent from living breathing others who are directly involved. dont disrespect others. dont steal their art/-works. treat ppl with dignity. they arent your war game toys.

my illustration of Halloween Corrins from FEH. fullbody. but with a few design changes so their overall attire look mostly the same.
M!corrin on the right, F!corrin on the left, doing the same standing sprite pose.
major differences from the FEH outfits are that they both have short pants and a leg cover only on the right leg each. they have the book 3 glowing skeleton effect on their left legs, and seemingly torsos underneath the shirts.
their skeleton left legs are mostly covered up with the purple cape but also we can see neon green ribbon bows are wrapped around on them. also they have off-the-shoulder sleeves.
