ok so this is a bit of a hot take but xenoblade x definitive edition because the newly added epilogue was such a mess of writing it felt worse finishing it than i did playing the original release on the Wii U which ended in a shitty cliffhanger

Oh good, ChatGPT is getting "erotica for verified adults" later this year

We made ChatGPT pretty restrictive to make sure we were being careful with mental health issues. We realize this made it less useful/enjoyable to many users who had no mental health problems, but given the seriousness of the issue we wanted to get this right.

Now that we have been able to mitigate the serious mental health issues and have new tools, we are going to be able to safely relax the restrictions in most cases.

In a few weeks, we plan to put out a new version of ChatGPT that allows people to have a personality that behaves more like what people liked about 4o (we hope it will be better!). If you want your ChatGPT to respond in a very human-like way, or use a ton of emoji, or act like a friend, ChatGPT should do it (but only if you want it, not because we are usage-maxxing).

In December, as we roll out age-gating more fully and as part of our “treat adult users like adults” principle, we will allow even more, like erotica for verified adults.

I got lucky; I grew up in a red town right in the post 9/11 haze and our schools were SO underfunded. The only reason I got out of there with a semblance of critical thinking was the teachers. Funding the schools to hire quality teachers is absolutely required, otherwise it's a gamble.

I say this because genuinely as a gen z kid (albeit an early gen z) the biggest factor in me learning critical thinking were teachers who gave a shit about why i thought the way i did and made me cite my sources. They were HAWKS for proper citations and explaining reasoning.

I think we're kind of trapped in a vicious cycle rn: kids growing up on short-form content have zero attention span --> act out in school on their teachers --> good teachers quit due to burnout --> new teacher doesn't bother with teaching things (understandably) --> repeat ad nauseum

WAIT FORGOT ONE MORE THING: menu filtering for items was programmed incorrectly so it's no longer easy to find shit (something about the item names being sorted by their original internal japanese name instead of the english names) and this glitch was NOT in the original Wii U version iirc

-quick cooldown almost feels like cheating at points
-game is not balanced for increased level cap
-hraesvelg is obtainable before you even get your skell liscence, making actually getting your real skell feel cheap unlike the original

i'm gonna stick to gameplay/graphic complaints, so:
-messed up lighting, game is too bright in some cutscenes if you get unlucky with the time of day and your armor, Lin in particular looks almost ghostly at points
-raising level cap from 60 to 99

if i get the time i'm seriously thinking of doing a replay of the wii u version just because i can since i finally got an SD card big enough to hold all the expansion packs (and DE's changes piss me off to the point i haven't touched my switch in months) and also because the Wii U is goated
