Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing? 2? Questions I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up. Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

what's the best way to ensure your visual novel has a strong launch on steam?
i'm sure people would say things like 'make sure the art looks nice', 'get a fancy trailer', 'polish the writing', but you'd be mistaken

what you really have to do is make sure it gets a lot of wishlists on steam

haru yatosaki is a genius for coming up with the concept of a succubus that likes teasing a woman but is kind of purehearted while the woman she is chasing tries to be purehearted but cannot stop imagining lustful situations and their entire courtship is through baking and eating desserts together

reminds me kind of how ppl say dredge is a cozy game for them... or how sdv is one of the coziest games but girl that shit is STRESSFUL and not necessarily "nice" ... i found the only good definition of a cozy game is when it has a solid gameplay loop and not at all related to The Vibes lmao

i think the (false) paradox of "the cozy game" is that it's far more memorable when there are elements of weirdness / unknowns / uncertainty in the world to it, like how early animal crossing neighbours were kinda mean sometimes and sims 1 is sorta creepy sometimes. the friction of consciousness
