그리고 일본어표기법은.. 한국어랑 영어보다 음소가 훨씬 적어서 어쩔 수 없는데 확실히 한국어를 표기할때 꽤 이상하게 되죠.. 성현제랑 송태원 성씨는 둘 다 ‘ソン’(손)으로 바뀌게 된단 게 살짝 웃겐데 아쉽기도 하죠.. ㅋㅋ큐ㅠ

그렇네요... 요즘은 더 표준화된 표기법(예를 들어 'Revised Romanization')도 있어서 옛날보다 나은 것 같은데 그래도 전혀 표준화되지 않죠... 살짝 딴얘긴데 한국 이민자들 미국에 오셔서 성씨 표기가 완전 망해버리게 된 경우가 많죠 제 성씨도 포함 ㅋㅋㅋ.. 그 재미교포 배우 Steven Yeun 있잖아요.. 성씨는 ‘연’인데 왠지 Yeon말고 Yeun으로 쓰이죠.. 그것땜에 그분이랑 살짝 공감을 느끼거든요 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

근데 궁금한데요 앺파님께선 개인적으로 ‘류재관’은 어떻게 영어로 쓰실 것 같나요? ryu jaekwan이나 ryu jaegwan... 저는 아직 못 골라서 자꾸 바꿔쓰는 건데요 🫠 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ큐ㅜ

개인적으로 한국에서 영어 발음 표기가 왔다갔다 하는거 진짜 킹받고 짜증난다고 생각합니더....ㅋㅋㅋ 옛날엔 k였다가 g로 바꾸고 더 헷갈리더라구요! 요즘에는 쓰이는 글자대로 영어를 적는 것 같아서 시각적으로는 덜 불편해졌지만 외국분들이 듣기에 한국어 발음은 된소리가 구분이 잘 안간다고 해서 그 부분은 참 어렵다고 느낍니다🤔

I can think of instances where the korean consonant is NOT surrounded by voiced sounds, and indeed does not become voiced following this rule... ex: '맛있겠다‘. the ㄱ there is preceded by word final /t/ and instead becomes tensed, not voiced-- it becomes ㄲ...(blahblah ik this is getting complex sorry

Clarification... To be more precise, I think the rule is the consonant becomes voiced *when it is surrounded by other voiced sounds*. the airstream continues thru the voiced sounds and "turns on" the consonant and makes it voiced... Vowels are purely voiced sounds btw!

it's the same "e" as in eun haje(은하제), not the "ae" like in ryu jaekwan(류재관) !
