Just saw that Turning Point USA is going to compete with the NFL and have their own half time show. No details yet but our money is on Lee Greenwood 🤣 Who do you think will be performing?
Hot Damn! If Takeshita and the Callis Family bring this type of energy into NJPW programming then it Takeshita’s first World Title reign is gonna be one for the ages
It’s a lot of losing for Joe but he won’t be hurt by it. He’s still Samoa Joe and a couple wins and a promo at any moment in time and he can be inserted into a feud for any title.
I want to see it to. LFI winning would at least be something happening for the trios division and for them. Something like you said happens but throw in Hobbs taking the pin and Joe blaming him for the loss so those two can feud with each other until full gear where Joe can over Powerhouse Hobbs.
Ugh I feel old. I still remember the phone number of two of my childhood friends houses. Their parents still live in those houses and if they still have land lines then I know their phone number. I also still remember my mom’s jobs number from when I was a kid. Had to have certain numbers memorized
If he were to come to AEW I think debuting in the Continental Classic is the only way to do it. If he can go in the ring there isn’t a better chance to prove it. Also would show from the start that he wasn’t gonna be SuperCena by taking some losses. I’d book him to only win his last match
You’re not wrong. I like Cena when debuted and threw the thuganomics era. I stopped watching wrestling while he was still in that gimmick and dipped in and out for a few years. When I seriously started watching again he was Super Cena and had five moves of doom and that’s all he’s been since
I kind of like the idea of a Cena run where he wants to prove he can hang with all these people but he never wins. Not until his final match where he gets to pin Cope or Christian or Mox or anyone else who he was in the other place with. It’s petty but it’s what I would do if given the chance
His wrestling has always been bad so why not have his retirement be bad. He’s never been exceptional in the ring and he was a contributing factor to why I stopped watching wrestling back in the day. That being said from a business standpoint it would be really dumb to not sign him if given a chance
They have a well known wrestler staring in a well received superhero tv show and they have a wrestling show airing on the same streaming service. Someone in corporate had to say “hey let’s put these together somehow” then had it explained why it can’t happen
I can almost guarantee there has been a conversation of some sort between Cena, WarnerDiscovery, DC comics and AEW. It’s impossible that it hasn’t happened even if it was just to say that Cena is under contract with a different wrestling promotion and can’t be a part of anything with AEW
The wrestling world is trying to correct itself. Takeshita & Santana have the gold they were destined for, the Dudleys are officially retired, the AEW women are getting both Blood & Guts & tag titles, & we had intergender wrestling on tv.
Maybe Hangman beating MOX threw us into a better universe. 🤼♂️
The Unified IWGP world Heavyweight Champion has a nice ring to it. Maybe the C2 is for both titles this year. That have been planting the seeds for Okada vs Takeshita for awhile now and that would be a huge payoff #fantasybooking
I’m shocked they haven’t announced a TBS title match. They missed a story beat about her beating the record and someone wanting to stop her. Could have kayfabed the day and said she had to win at WrestleDream to hold the record. Ah well
There is a greater then zero percent chance Kenny Omega shows up during the post match shenanigans and a tag team match is set for WrestleDream #aewcollision
Next Saturday, 10/11 Jacksonville, FL Saturday #AEWCollision
