A moment of gratitude for everyone working in an area or industry with a final tax filing deadline today. There are a lot of us out there and the finish line is closer for some than others.

Clearly we are being led by idiots - explaining your sense of dread and anxiety - so you might as well help your kid find the path to success in today's modern world. May his ignorance be a blessing to us all.

As I suspected. Well, obviously we have a lot of work to do so these sessions will be going on a long time. Which is great because I need some new furniture for my lake place.

Good, good. And why do you think that relates to your sense of overwhelming dread and panic at the decline of civilization all around us? Was your first lover a peanut farmer by any chance?
mgsiii.bsky.social
Liz, we’ve wandered away from peanut butter pizza. Now I’m going to have to charge you for a session.

Let’s start with a deep calming breath. Good. Now tell me the first thing that’s comes to mind when I mention pizza?
mgsiii.bsky.social
Weirdly, peanut sauce is great on pizza. But peanut butter?! Seems unlikely. But if you bring up jelly we are going to throw you out of this joint.

It brings a smile to my face to see that little kid.

Every one puts me exactly back in that spot with a hundred details.

None. Just moments in time.

What are you guys doing with your SorosBucks payment after the rally? I was hoping to buy beers at the Antifa Clubhouse, but I’m behind on my national and chapter Antifa dues.

If SCOTUS overturns a key provision in the Voting Rights Act, it could cement Republican control of the House for decades.

Plausible outcome of overturning the VRA.

I’ll be at the No Kings Rally. Do I need to fill out paperwork first to get my SorosBucks, or do they do that after?

Even anarchists have to follow the rules!

Wait.

It would be a far better world if things like this happened more often.

In 2004, Parisian police were conducting a training exercise in the french catacombs and found, after moving past a desk and a tape playing audio of snarling dogs, a fully functional movie theater and bar. When they returned 3 days later, the equipment was gone, with a note: “Do not try to find us.”
Members of the force's sports squad, responsible
- among other tasks - for policing the 170 miles of tunnels, caves, galleries and catacombs that underlie large parts of Paris, stumbled on the complex while on a training exercise beneath the Palais de Chaillot, across the Seine from the Eiffel Tower.
After entering the network through a drain next to the Trocadero, the officers came across a tarpaulin marked: Building site, No access.
Behind that, a tunnel held a desk and a closed-circuit TV camera set to automatically record images of anyone passing. The mechanism also triggered a tape of dogs barking, "clearly designed to frighten people off," the spokesman said.
Further along, the tunnel opened into a vast 400 sq metre cave some 18m underground, "like an underground amphitheatre, with terraces cut into the rock and chairs". There the police found a full-sized cinema screen, projection equipment, and tapes of a wide variety of films, including 1950s film noir classics and more recent thrillers. None of the films were banned or even offensive, the spokesman said.
A smaller cave next door had been turned into an informal restaurant and bar. "There were bottles of whisky and other spirits behind a bar, tables and chairs, a pressure-cooker for making couscous," the spokesman said.
"The whole thing ran off a professionally installed electricity system and there were at least three phone lines down there."
Three days later, when the police returned accompanied by experts from the French electricity board to see where the power was coming from, the phone and electricity lines had been cut and a note was lying in the middle of the floor: "Do not," it said, "try to find us."

All the wrong people are hurting in America right now.

Well, except the Trump voters who are hurting as Trump reality hits them.
mgsiii.bsky.social
I couldn’t get to the end of it.

One would assume there are considerations beyond volume.

I’m sure the Boobel Teats Prize nomination committee will be in touch soon. I mean, in contact.

Fair point. I made an assumption. 🤷‍♂️ Let’s just say it appeared to be benefiting humanity from my perspective.

It’s good to see the two of you using your powers for good and not evil. With great power comes great responsibility.
