I agree that Gov Mills' current age is too old to run for a six year term. But nothing is purely anything. That is a tell of ridgid thinking. So true that a huge ego is a common denominator in people who seek political power. Ego can be blinding if not kept in check and in service to WE THE PEOPLE

It's not about being old. It's about being charismatic. Sen Sanders is old but he has the juice. Gov Mills is not nimble. She is not quick. Times have changed since Gideon. Trump is like a dead weight around Collins neck. The best thing Gov Mills has is how she pushed back against Trump early on.

I respect how Gov Mills told Trump to shove it very early one. And her list of accomplishments for Maine is impressive. But she sounds canned except when she sounds like an insider. There is the fact she has won statewide. But past is not necessarily prologue, esp these days. She is not charismatic.
