As a slight diversion from the norm, and in deference to this being my #100th album, I have decided that this release will instead be a look back at some of the music that I have made in that whole period, in a couple of cases reaching right back

*The fuck* is wrong with humanity?
To some, the word of the bible is the word of god.
To others, it's a Woolies pick and mix.
To others, it's arsepaper from an uneducated time.
Yep. Deeply dull.

I liked the musical numbers and the times when Ronnie Barker would start a monologue with 'Good evening....'
Staggering that he still holds records. #JimClark #GOAT
I cannot find a gap between it and Phaedra, other than this one feels more 'pleasingly relentless'. There really wasn't anything like them at the time at all. These records belong to another law of physics.

Fun fact: I destroyed a great set of speakers thanks to Rubycon.
Bookmarked? I have it tattooed on my arm now, mate. 😀
I watched the highlights. Celtic were properly hopeless. Hilariously so.

A clear five points in it now. Which means that we will detonate somehow. #Burley
Yeah, but I believe in redemption.
32Mb

There was a time when that was bragworthy, you know.

(Mad sidenote: I have AAR-1 on Mellotron tape!)
You shock me.

I actually know someone who worked with CdB many years ago. That was pretty much her opinion of him too. I had never heard her use the word 'cunt' before she expressed her opinion of him.

Spot on Kenny - I will check this out later on.

Holly J has some interesting tales of the making of the album too. Most of his vox were done with the assistance of weapons grade dope, and they all *hated* doing the covers on side three. (I much prefer their version of BTR to the original)
Was it not? Between JMJ, Bush, Gabriel and Horn I think it was fairly well hammered in the 1980s.

I remember Michael Rodd showing it on Tomorrow's World!

Even weirder is that I now have the entire Fairlight Library (more or less) and could run it on a £200 laptop with 4x the RAM of the CMI.
It's practically a Fairlight CMI demo album.

The actual 'band' were hopelessly mediocre of course. They got the Blockheads in to try out as replacements for the recordings, but Trevor Horn said they made everything sound like 'Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick' so they were ditched.
Are you absolutely certain it was AI?
"Good luck with that, but the boy Watts showed him who was the boss..."
I think that might be The Dropped Pie Cabaret Bar you're thinking of
This actually sounds like someone is having some kind of acute emotional breakdown
@sidsmith.bsky.social , did they ever find anyone with a (genuine) version of LTiA-1 from this show? It seems unbelievable if it was broadcast at the time.
