🧵Trump is destroying the east wing of the White House to build a 90000 sq ft ballroom.

He said originally he would pay for the cost - upwards of $250M - by private donations (raising corruption comcerns) bu now says he might pay for it by the $230M he has requested from the Justice Department.

Of all the horrors of this year I didn't expect to be so upset by Trump tearing down the east wing of the WH. You can add on to, but not tear down historic buildings. It's a metaphor for the whole thing, neway. I'm surprised Leon didn't come help w/ his chainsaw.

That's after they voted to kick 310,000 people off Medicaid and 144,000 more off SNAP, just to give a tax cut to people who don't need it.
