once she got out when I got home from school and nobody else was home, and I chased her for at least an hour outside and had a similar small breakdown at the thought that I’d lost mom’s soul dog forever

another time wickson did run over there and ran around their garage and then started playing keepaway with something as he chomped it

apparently one of their teenagers left a piece of cheesebread out there

the mom was like, well, that's what the kids get for leaving stuff around

my favorite is still Willow, who loved to run away as the humans called her, but then Mom figured out that all you needed to do was get a slice of turkey or ham and wave it where Willow could see and she’d come running right back
