Especially auckland uni students which could feasibly be our future leaders
Its gotta be the import thing. In my so many years of using various citation managers I always had to add the additional details post import
I know this is a super serious post highlighting super important information. But can I at least be tickled that you used the word "shock" in the first post. Because, bravo
Oh I read that the other way round. The dude makes it, the lady guards it? Like back in the day when the dudes made all the things?
They are fully private? Or they are subject to OIA?
Omg I didn't the whole gentry Lord and Lady thing, till now....
Happy World Bread Day! One of my favourite etymologies is that the words "Lady" and "Lord" come from Old English "hlafdige" and "hlafweard," essentially meaning "one who makes the bread" and "one who guards the bread"
I don't think so? Isn't it a fully private company? That's why fees cost so much?
Also you can bet anything that it wasn't a universal backlash was it. It was Parmeet (is she tauiwi immigrant? Someone who has been welcomed with manaakitanga into our highest levels of democracy?!) And f***ing ACT. And f***ing Hobson's Pledge
FFS if you're going to be in an Aotearoa's university, you should learn about our Foundational documents. Should be an easy pass for a uni level student (unless you're new into the country) one semester to learn over a century of history is not the end of the world.

Screenshot of RNZ article in a Facebook post. The caption reads: "The University of Auckland has reversed its decision to make a paper on the Treaty of Waitangi compulsory for all first-year students after a single semester.

The university said the Waipapa Taumata Rau (WTR) course would be optional from next year following extensive feedback from students and staff."

The headline is "Auckland Uni in U-Turn on mandatory Treaty of Waitangi course after backlash"
They're very mumbly as well as loud. I just heard the phrase "Winston Peter's shouldnt have done that" in an angry tone. Then it became mumbly again
Sometimes I think, I've cultivated such a bubble, I have no idea what "average NZer" thinks. So I was surprised when we didn't end up with a NZ Green and Te Pāti Māori govt

But the very old people on the next table in this foodcourt is complaining loudly about Uncle Winnie, so maybe there is hope.
Amazing my favourite is cafe crave in morningside Kingsland, Tāmaki Makaurau. Followed closely by the cafe in Tūranga in Ōtautahi
That is hilarious. What incredibly humorous answer did you come up with?
But is it toasted to perfection by the cafe?
Yea i know, I was attempting a wry humour which doesn't always come across well in the format of a bsky post 😅
Wait wait wait. Did Frankenstein not have a medical degree?!? How did he get access to cadavers? I assumed he was a coroner by trade
I do like corgis and dachshunds as well as llama. So maybe my subconscious was telling me something
read up on the Burning Man principle of gifting, specifically this amazing video by Halcyon www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6if... if you model your framework on that kind of vibe it'll go far. Good luck! awesome as always David

'The world doesn’t owe you a living’: PM says 4300 teens will lose Jobseeker benefit next year
I mean it's kinda the OP's problem, he should have said "Doctor Frankenstein enters into a body building competition" not just Frankenstein.
screenshot from Tumblr - the first post says "Frankenstein enters into a body building competition and finds he has seriously misunderstood the objective", the first reply in all caps says "FOR THE LAST TIME, FRANKENSTEIN WAS THE NAME OF THE DOCTOR" the third reply says "...a doctor who built a body." and the final reply in the screenshot says "For what is possibly the first time in the history of pop culture somebody actually really specifically does mean the doctor .. and someone tries to correct them"
this is a GREAT idea, and it's so smart to bring something like a library more front and centre of Tāmaki Makaurau CBD!! Regardless of whether he gets in or not, can we keep this on the table?
For those playing along at home in what will inevitably be a years long journey, I got done with all the wording and one llama. But I missed one row of stitches so its a dwarf llama #llamaDiversity @ayvalentine.bsky.social
Photo of unfinished Cross-stitch. It is still on the embroidery hoop. It says, in maroon thread, "It's not hoarding if your shit's cool" and there is a wee pink llama next to the word shit with a tiny green saddle
Ok I've not gone onto Only Fans (as a viewer) because its not really my jam, but this, this might change my mind
Screenshot of a Facebook post by Vice. The photo is of two penguins standing in front of a blurry Antarctic landscape. The caption is black text on a blue background and it says "This only fans account saves endangered species with animal mating videos" the Facebook caption says "In a genius bit of marketing, the Quick Response Fund for Nature (QRFN) has launched an OnlyFans account.

But instead of spicy human content, subscribers get Aldabra tortoises going “slow and steady,” blue iguanas putting in work, and lemurs doing their best “I like to move it” impression. Welcome to OnlyEndangereds—conservation with just enough kink to get your attention."
He's holding out as long as he can". The caption says "Even Paul Kilmartin's mates are baffled, asking “when are you going to move into the 21st century?”
