Brian Cashman's job security is kinda crazy to me. Yankees have a blank check and high expectations every year. It's always title or bust. They haven't won a title in 16 years, but the architect of the team has never been fired. Obviously he's had success but wild with that high of expectations....

It says so much about this administration (and it's supporters) how they continue to run with this despite it being a mathematical impossibility. They are either that dumb or wilfully ignorant and obtuse. Either way it's just a nice tidy microcosm

With the 2-3-2 format it's wild how quickly the championship series go from "oh this is a fun little series" to completely over. Like the Blue Jays made things mighty interesting but could still be eliminated as soon as tomorrow afternoon.
