Week 42: Villa-Lobos - Ciclo Brasileiro
Villa-Lobos was a Brazilian composer that wrote some really cool stuff for piano. My mom learned the last piece of this cycle in college and that's the reason why I know this set of pieces.

it's wild how Platinum fixed so many issues with Diamond/Pearl and GameFreak just said nah let's add those problems back. Also let's rush the game so the opening cutscene has to be downloaded on a day 1 patch

i dealt with the “gifted kid” stuff growing up. the idea of talent being the gateway to artistry not only undermines the work ppl put into it, but often feels like a way for ppl with legitimate interest in art to justify not pursuing it. it feels othering for all parties

Thinking about the AI mess, I really do think we should try harder to drill it in everyone's heads that art is not an innate talent but a skill that most people can develop. Like, you don't have to be resentful of artists, just learn how to make art your own way
