My cast iron guarantee: I'll never rely on ChatGPT to script my replies to you, it's all authentically my own awkwardness.

Yup. Just such a great sonic journey.

Hah, my Mum was utterly anti-ITV and I've never really understood why.
martinnutbeem.bsky.social
Hartley Hare did look like he had some Eldritch stuff going on.
martinnutbeem.bsky.social
Yeah fair. We had it a lot when I was a kid in the 80s - cheap and filling I guess, which was a consideration for my Mum. I wasn't ever a fan. I can't imagine many would air-punch and say "Yay Rice Pudding!" in a world where the Viennetta had been introduced.

That spoonful of jam plonked in the center of the bowl of rice pudding didn't change your mind? I get it, although I've had very nice rice pudding in the past, it's a bit weird really.

Oh totally, that's sonic perfection. I mean, Vapour Trail is another I could get lost in).

I guess Going Blank Again was my first exposure to them, listening to the album in my mate Ali's older brothers bedroom cadging fags and cider. Warm and familiar, if you see what I mean?

On my Ride bullshit again. Could listen to Leave Them All Behind on repeat for hours. It's the noise. It's the drums. It's the lyrics. It's the whole blissful perfect hodgepodge of a track. Going Blank Again is such a great album.

Liver and onions was such a staple in my childhood and definitely a contributing factor in my vegetarianism.

Noticeably chillier here today. Both dogs and a cat are cuddled up on my office bed. I might join them for a nap at lunch. It looks cosy.

Gala pie 😖

Had a relative who used to make it regularly and I cannot overstate how rank it is as a food. Pork pies, Scotch egg I get even though I dont like meat. But Gala Pie. Nope.

Here's a little something for when randoms turn up in your mentions demanding you explain what you're posting about

Event Horizon was the final straw for my wife for watching horror films. She's basically refused to watch a horror film since.

Probably didn't help that for years I'd stage whisper "Event Horizon" whenever she was talking about things that gave her the ick.

I need to do another video including the plague doctor but I did attempt to channel Joffy a while back...
martinnutbeem.bsky.social
Yoffy! This is the second time he's been channelled in my timeline today.

Oh that's horrible. We had similar with a neighbour who rescued a dog who subsequently howled a lot and it was heart-breaking. We did have a friendly word and they started getting a dog walker in which helped massively. Very much a case of "oh crap, we didn't realise".
martinnutbeem.bsky.social
Yeah, fair enough. A few people have said he grows on you. I suspect some of my bias is because he's typically fronting shows that are just not for me so it's just a general red flag I'll not enjoy it.
