I'm Mário Santos. I'm a professional pixel artist and I have worked on games, videos and more!

Currently I'm working on a new game by Zenovia Interactive currently named "Neon Inferno". Although I can't post much for now, please keep an eye out for it!

Even Alucard thinks it's weird for a Belmont to say the things Richter is saying.

Shaft IS puppeteering Richter. But, on my conclusion, he's not working with fiction. Everyone has negative desires, and it looks to me like those are Richter's.
mariosantos.bsky.social
This is my understanding, at least.

And, it's not like Shaft is not talking through Richter. On DXC they gave him spoken dialogue, and he says the same exact words to summon demons that Richter says on SotN. +

So, while I get fans who think Shaft is just lying, I do believe SotN was drawing from pre-existing character decisions on Rondo of Blood that got more clarified in further products.

Shaft was making him act "out of character", but he was pulling strings with contents he found on Richter's heart.

On Smash Ultimate, Alucard says that, because Richter is too honest (and we're not necessarily talking about "not telling lies" here), he's easy to manipulate. And Grimoire of Souls, Richter's "weak heart" is commented on, with him saying that perhaps his blood did in fact hunger for struggle.+

(1:01 of this video. This "well..." Richter gives is also present in japanese. It's subtle, but this is Dracula hitting a nerve

Another often overlooked bit of info is that, at the end of Rondo, after arguing about what truly drives humans, Dracula point blank asks Richter if he has no desires of his own. And Richter does stutter for a moment.

He is the hero of humanity, but he's also a human and imperfect.+

Type B is known as "The Hunter". Honest, go getter, but also individualistic, giving it the negative name of "Jikochu", or "Selfish".

What is "Richter" wanting to satisfy his thirst for battle through reviving Dracula at the expense of humanity's safety if not selfishness? +
mariosantos.bsky.social
Blood type personality theory in Japan is like astrology for us. So JP game developers used to list characters' blood type to explain a character's personality in an simple way.

Many people don't know this, but Richter is blood type B.+
mariosantos.bsky.social
Shaft managed to take control of Richter after he was exhausted from his battle with Dracula. This is an official explanation.

However, I feel that there are valid grounds for "Richter's" words on SotN that could add to Shaft's "acting" of him +

Didn't "finish" is but. Yeah. I guess I don't often get this clean.

Simon uses it for "healing", if you get me
mariosantos.bsky.social
Inside candles.

Pictured: Simon found some, and Dracula's going to be REAL MAD when he goes looking for it and it's gone.

I suppose this is a sufficient answer, but if you want I can continue explaining any points I said.

So, no matter what, the inverted castle is in another dimension just from being Dracula's castle itself, appearing in response to its master resurrection drawing near.
mariosantos.bsky.social
But, concerning the inverted castle: With all things on SotN considered, and with past and future games' answers, it appears the inverted castle is the true Dracula's Castle, while the first is a projection from Richter's spirit +
mariosantos.bsky.social
This is one of the sharpest questions about SotN :P I'll try to explain to the best of my ability, and a few logical jumps are necessary.

So, first and foremost: Dracula's castle is in another dimension. It's a spiritual world already +
mariosantos.bsky.social
They are created by Soleil under Dracula's control. Dracula used the power of the four castle spirits to restore his body at the end of the game.
mariosantos.bsky.social
Ask me anything about the Demon Castle, Dracula's castle which is the symbol of his magical power!
mariosantos.bsky.social
Sorry for the confusion. I did a very superficial image search and this showed up 😭
mariosantos.bsky.social
I have no idea what that is. Is it garten of banban?

I *can* tell you the FICTIONAL Dracula exists inside the Castlevania universe. People think the vampire Dracula is a product of fiction.
mariosantos.bsky.social
I'm glad you like it because this is one of my favorites I ever made of these portraits. Very very close to the reference with very little compromising.

Lisa estava revertendo o vampirismo do Drácula. Ela teria salvo a humanidade ao simplesmente ter conseguido isso, sem necessidade de curandeirismo nem nada.

Não tem. Pelo menos não mais do que qualquer outro monstro.

Became lord of Wallachia and reigned over the humans, while his castle became a safe haven for demons and others shunned from society. Igarashi says he lived quietly, but does not give any other detail.
