When the elected officials do not care what action are you taking to care for each other?

My friend from high school tried to mail something to the united states from Portugal and couldn’t.
So apparently we can't even send letters to the US from Europe now. Seems that the US is slowly cutting itself off from everything - or perhaps its leader is looking to starve the US Postal Service completely. Maybe it's both. Collins loses her gavel.
Hegseth spends.
Vought withholds.
Trump directs.
Miller plots.
The world watches.

The people must rise.

That’s our money.
This is our country.

We are the final check on unchecked power.
This is an #IntolerableAct
Trump Signs Memo Expanding His Authority to Spend Federal Money

Trump gave DefSec Hegseth wide authority to repurpose funds to pay the military without approval from Congress, which has the sole constitutional federal spending authority. flip.it/i_3u6m who’ll be the plaintiff in this lawsuit?
Angus is making donor calls for his son
Same messaging as Sara Gideon and that means she will accept it through others.

This is not new.
He is not wrong in wanting to address both the system of the political party and the nonprofit structure that upholds corporate power.
Both need to fall

www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025... in a rare victory for common sense, the USG can’t fire folks while it is shutdown.

Yes, but we also had massive disruptions during the first cycle when she ran for governor in the primary. I actually held a sign that had a wooden stake on it and prevented it from stabbing her.
We transferred about $3.9 million to her campaign.
What hope that money was.
I never expected she would be a philanthropist with money I raised while I lived off Gofundme & mutual aid while having cancer.
Q3 Sara Gideon's 2020 campaign gave:

--$150K to @ppnnehealth.bsky.social (just got thru praising Susan Collins underservedly tinyurl.com/4d4mmsw4)

--$150K to MainFrame (?)

--$33K to Maine Citizens Against Handgun Violence

--$50K to Save Maine Absentee Voting

Still has $3,285,882!!! #MEpolitics
While sending three urgent fundraising emails on election day.
You’re assuming she will actually answer it. She’s good at dodging.
That Campaign was offered more free advice than I can even imagine. They chose to not do a damn thing. What a loss.
I wear a mask.
I’m immunocompromised w/a chronic cancer.

If this an issue for you, that’s who you are.

The masked man has a wife at home with cancer.

We want PEPFAR funded so immunocompromised people living w/HIV & AIDS get care they need.

If you think this is a joke that tells me who you are.
Yesterday we went to the Portland office of Senator Collins. Before we could even introduce ourselves, we were told to stop filming and that the conversation was over. We had, “made our point.”

Except that we hadn’t. We brought body bags into her office because people all over the world are dying
I know. Years of up close & personal experience.

WOW. Sen. Susan Collins sure doesn't want to face the truth.

We went to demand that they fully fund PEPFAR and that it be a priority of reopening the government. People shouldn’t have to die until she is willing to take action and the consequences of her in action is appearing in body bags all around the world.

as the OMB director withholds legally appropriated funds from HIV and AIDS programs. Susan Collins has supported this program in the past and did push the OMB director, but with the shut down, she has not prioritized the funding of this bipartisan global health initiative.

Meanwhile in Maine, human rights activists delivered bodybags to her Portland office, symbolizing harms caused by her cowardice, labeled "COLLINS: Stop Vought's AIDS Deaths."

She CAN fix this--but she has to stop being complicit, and keep the promise she made to defend lifesaving HIV services.
