Antivaxxers are faced with an overwhelming amount of data, evidence, that shows their claims are very wrong. So they have to claim conspiracy and government involvement.

Covid19 doomers are similar. They use the same arguments, can't read papers, cherry-pick, twist data, and

All yes. Also counts for bacteria, parasites and fungi. SARS-COV-2 infection is not higher risk than those we also regularly encounter. If you claim otherwise you need to provide evidence

That is a very important question. And, after decades, the answer is unfortunately: we do not know. This is extremely frustrating and leaves the door open to quacks to make outlandish claims. But, it is the truth.

With 200 cherry-picked, mostly low-impact papers, general webpages, press releases, and predatory journals, among others, it is a significant task to review all references and demonstrate that they are flawed or misinterpreted.

Yes and no. The issue is that you build up immunity to these infections from early life. This protects you fine until old age, when your immune system is getting weaker. If you do not build up immunity, or insufficiently, you can get very ill when you inevitably encounter the pathogen

COVID-19 was ranked as the number one age-standardised cause of death globally in 2021 but by 2023 had dropped to the 20th cause of death among all leading global causes, replaced by ischaemic heart disease and stroke as the two leading causes of death. During the COVID-19 pandemic, disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs) due to infectious, maternal, neonatal, and nutritional diseases all increased, but have since returned to pre-pandemic levels.

These science-undermining papers do everyone a disservice. The content is clearly incorrect, the message is false, but it can cause panic and a high level of concern; those who do suffer from the consequences of SC2 will be taken less and less seriously due to this nonsense.

it is your immune system responding to an invasion with a virus, bacteria, fungus or parasite.

This "narrative review" does not examine anything; it cherry picks, twists and overinterprets things the authors clearly are ill equiped for to understand.

There is no "Tissue reservoir persistence drives long-term damage" after SARS-CoV-2 infection, etc.

The absence of any knowledge by the authors starts with the statement that both SC2 and HIV infections start with cold-like symptoms. Indeed, so do nearly all infections:

The arguments do not hold. SARS-CoV-2 is not a cronic infection, coronaviruses are not retro-, papiloma- or herpes-viruses. SARS-CoV-2 does not result in dysfunction, exhaustion, depletion or damage of "the immune system", this means you do not understand how it works.

Part of the earlier outbreak may be mass tourism such as from Australia and New Zealand, which saw a peak of H3N2 Influenza A at the end of their winter. Changes in climate and reduced exposure to this circulating variant are other explanations.
