I renovated the Lincoln Bathroom in the White House. It was renovated in the 1940s in an art deco green tile style, which was totally inappropriate for the Lincoln Era. I did it in black and white polished Statuary marble. This was very appropriate for the time of Abraham Lincoln and, in fact, could be the marble that was originally there!

RIP to one of the greats, his The Voyage is perhaps dated (the situation only got worse since the 80s) but it's a massive undertaken that should be watched by all

RIP Peter Watkins. His whole filmography was an incisive stab to the gut. If you've never seen his work, I recommend starting with Punishment Park, an eternally troubling look at the swings of authoritarianism in motion. It's a masterpiece.
