Wind and solar have the major problem that they are weather-dependent. Solar panels and wind turbines also have resource and waste issues.

For example many wind turbines need neodymium for their magnets. The mining of neodymium leaves behind toxic and radioactive tailings

Biomass burning is not actually very "green", especially since you still have the issues of flue gas and the pollutants they contain.

Ironically you can level some of the same criticisms that are leveled at nuclear at geothermal, namely that there's a potential of radioactive release as the origin of geothermal energy is radioactive decay

Geothermal is great for low grade heat (e.g. warm water or home heating) but to get electricity from geothermal is pretty inefficient comparatively speaking. It still has advantages of weather independence and dispatchability

Geothermal is not a large part of the grid anywhere. Even in Iceland (where they have nigh ideal conditions for it) or in Nicaragua (where they have little other sources of electricity). The reason is that geothermal usually isn't hot enough for high Carnot efficiency

There was a brouhaha about the nomination of someone to the German Constitutional Court recently. But it was something done TO the candidate not BY her. IIRC she basically refrained from public comment until she had to.

Grids with high nuclear

Grids with high carbon emissions

Unfortunately hydro is dependent on geography and takes up huge swaths of land as can be seen in Quebec...
