This is the sane position on LLMs/GenAI ⬇️
"I have a decent fluency in LLMs, and they have utility, but the absurd degree of over-hype, the way they're being forced on everyone, and the insistence on ignoring the many valid critiques about them make it very difficult to focus on legitimate uses where they might add value."
The problem with watching news as a means to understand the world is that the news doesn't cover the common events in the world; it covers the rare events because only those are news-worthy.

Stock photography sites are like "here's our 100% AI-free catalog" but also "here's our AI-based editing tools".
Open a store where you sell Mac&Cheese with these pots and "utensils" and I guarantee you the line of hipsters waiting to order will be at least two blocks.
After some of the recent social media discourse I have concluded what many men mean when they want to "end wokeness".

It boils down to wanting 3 things:
1) Objectify women they find attractive.
2) Openly criticize women they don't find attractive.
3) Nobody ever calling them out for doing 1) or 2).
I will be in London 🇬🇧 at the end of the month. Any mutuals who want to meet? DM me for exact dates.
Have the women who expect their date to pick them up or call them an Uber ever considered the security risk of sharing their home address with someone before the first date?
