But Bezos doesn't care.

This has long been an issue in the context of Russia’s (c)overt foreign policy. A balance is needed between confronting and exposing Russia’s activities and refraining from seeing an all-powerful Russian hand behind every development.

Putin Is Not Winning
Underestimating the Russian leader is dangerous, but ascribing dark powers to him plays right into his hands.

This. Very little to celebrate.

Bezos is perfectly happy to publish the Post at a loss if he can use it to keep demonstrate obedience to the regime so his other businesses can keep making money. It’s just an operating cost to him.

An interesting study of political violence in the United States. Two main findings. It is relatively low. It skewes right, that is right-wing groups/individuals have conducted more politically motivated killings since 1975.

Finally. Let’s hope this is taken seriously.

Yes, and the Secretary's friends made a lot of money out of it. Something that at any other time would have been a presidency-ending scandal, but now...

OK, this is vomit inducing now. Better go home. Genocidaire in chief brimming with joy, waiting for accomplice in chief, alongside young grifter in chief. Time to go home.

In a day in which those who perpetrated a genocide and those who were complicit gather to pat themselves on the back as peacemakers, I recommend two books.

A plea, not to overfeed the returning hostages, while Gaza has been starving for months.
lucatrenta.bsky.social
‘Will they ever live a normal life again?’ Question, of course, asked only about the hostages. Not about Palestinians whose lives, families, homes have been destroyed.

Having BBC News on in the tv gym is very detrimental to my mental health. Great celebrations of the release of Israeli hostages (rightly so), not a peep about the fact that for months international unwillingness to put pressure on Netanyahu allowed him to go on a genocidal rampage.

More than just a bad apple: why we must look closer at the Nathan Gill scandal

New evidence connects the Ukrainian politician who paid bribes to Gill - Reform UK’s former leader in Wales - to a campaign to destabilise the US election

@carolecadwalla.bsky.social reports
The contact of Reform UK's Russian puppet Nathan Gill is linked to efforts to destabilise the US and Ukraine. Why, even now, is no one asking questions?
lucatrenta.bsky.social
Unthinkable to have such a majority and waste it in such a cowardly manner.
lucatrenta.bsky.social
Things @teamlabouruk.bsky.social should do to improve the economy, society, and its electoral prospects:
1) Renounce and undo Brexit,
2) Change rhetoric on migration,
3) Tax the superrich, fund education and NHS,
4) Denounce and expose foreign interference and financing of UK parties.
lucatrenta.bsky.social
Again, every @teamlabouruk.bsky.social MP should be making statements on this every day.

Glad to see Nigel Farage has finally remembered Nathan Gill, former leader of Reform in Wales - found guilty of taking bribes from Russia.

Maybe he'll now remember how much he took from Putin's propaganda broadcaster Russia Today for all his TV appearances when he was a MEP?
Nigel Farage on Russia Today.

Why is @teamlabouruk.bsky.social not hammering on this every hour of the day? Surely, the lesson of 2016 should be that caution in the face of interference does not work.

Brexit, UKIP, the Northern League, AfD, Le Pen, Farage the list never stops. There is very little effort to unmask this. More attention it given to expose Russia's territorial breaches than its (political) active measures.

New post just out:

The relationship between Russia and the European radical right goes well beyond Reform's Nathan Gill being bribed.

In this post I trace the history back to the 1990s and look at the threat it poses now.
